Redesigned &
Remodelled Rings | Portfolio with Designer Notes

Below are before and after images of jewellery remodelling projects with details of our clients brief, the final ring description, jewellery designer notes and our clients feedback.

  • Julie was looking to remodel her old rings into a modern ring stack.

The look she was after was a sleek finish, something strong and durable to withstand everyday wear and tear.

She also wanted a wide chunky look.

Julies style preference was “something different but not too unusual“

  • Top ring: Emerald cut blue sapphire and two baguette cut sapphires bezel set on the left side of the ring. On the right side of the ring sits an emerald cut white diamond and one baguette cut diamond. All gemstones are bezel set in white gold.

Lower ring: 6mm wide yellow gold band set with - 1 x baguette diamond, 2x baguette sapphires and 6 x round diamonds.
    Flat profile, polished finish

  • Setting the gemstones into a sleek bezel was a design choice that captured both a modern look as well as a secure setting.

The top ring was made in a way for the lower band to sit snug underneath the main gemstones.

  • “…Communication was clear, Lisa understood the brief and designs were drawn on time (with options provided). The remodelling is amazing. They are modern and a beautiful memory of my family. I was impressed with the experience, Lisa’s fabulous design and her clear understanding and delivery of what I wanted. I recommend Lisa and Set Together Jewellery Design for the quality service provided…” Julie T.

  • Bonnie wanted to remodel her rings into a new design as a graduation gift for her daughter.

She wanted something unique and a little quirky with a fine band. A ring suitable for a woman in her early 20’s.

  • An elongated octagonal green sapphire set into a bezel setting that sits at an angle on the ring.

The center stone is framed by three small round diamonds on the right side and one small diamond on the left side.

The band is 2mm wide with a half round profile.

  • The center stone was set in a bezel setting for security. The angular orientation of the center stone was chosen to make the ring a little unique.

The diamonds were added to the ring design in an asymmetrical fashion to lean into the quirky style.

  • “The ring you made is perfect, I couldn’t be happier with the outcome, thank you so much” - Bonnie

Sapphire and diamond ring remade

Sapphire and diamond remodelled ring

  • Lisa had many items of jewellery she no longer wore.

She wanted three special pieces made from her collection of jewellery.

The style she was looking for was an art deco look that is still unique.

  • This ring was made in platinum with new metal.

The center sapphire is a 2ct oval sapphire with two heart shaped sapphires either side.

The halo is micro claw set with 1.5mm round diamonds which follow the outline of the sapphires.

  • The original design had the center sapphire oriented in a north south position.

The client opted to turn the oval sapphire to and east west position.

This bought the spread of the halo down which suits the clients hand better.

Re-designed diamond ring

Solitaire diamond remodelled ring

  • Sarah had a white gold engagement ring with diamonds on the shoulders.

She wanted to modernise the ring by turning it into a solitaire made in yellow gold.

  • 18ct yellow gold ring set with a 1ct round diamond.

The diamond is set into four rounded claws.

  • The ring was hand-made using 18ct yellow gold.

The round prongs were chosen for a softer finish.

Sarah’s existing was modified to a straight diamond set band by joining the shoulders together and resized to fit other finger.

Remodelled gold jewellery

Art deco style remodelled ring

  • Courtney received a loose sapphire from Mark during their engagement proposal.

She had heirloom jewellery passed down from both her mum and dad’s side of the family.

The jewellery consisted of yellow and white gold with baguette sapphires and round diamonds.

  • The center stone is a 1.7ct round blue sapphire set into eight yellow gold claws.

The halo is octagonal shaped pave set with round diamonds made in platinum.

The band is made in yellow gold and is set with baguette sapphires.

  • The octagonal shape of the halo was chosen due to the art deco style.

The baguette sapphires are channel set into the band. This gives a smooth feel to the sides so is comfortable to wear.
