Round Blue Sapphire and Diamond Trilogy Ring

Catherine had a large sapphire that was purchased in Sri Lanka during a vacation with her husband. She wanted side stones to compliment the center stone without overpowering her Ceylon sapphire. Ring strength and durability was also an important factor due to the size of her precious gemstone.

This ring is made in 18ct yellow gold, the center sapphire is set with strong double claws for security.
The side diamonds are trillion shape and are set in three rounded claws.
Center stone: Round Blue Ceylon Sapphire 17cts
Side stones: Trillion diamonds 0.30ct each -
Double claws add an antique touch to the finish look of a ring.
The upswept shoulders seamlessly blend the point of the trillion diamonds into the ring.
The band was made to a width of 3.5mm in order for it to not look too fine compared to the large center stone.
Round Diamond Trilogy Ring

Kate was gifted a 0.90ct diamond from her grandma, she wanted to use it in her engagement ring as well adding matching diamonds on the side to create a trilogy ring. She also had heirloom gold that she wanted to add to her engagement ring.

This ring is made in 18ct yellow gold using heirloom gold. The side diamonds were chosen to match the colour of the existing center diamond.
Each diamond is set with four rounded claws.
Center stone: 0.90cts
Side stones: 0.40ct each -
Different sized diamonds were placed next to the center stone until Kate was happy with the proportions.
Diamonds tend to work well with larger side stones compared to coloured gemstones.
The rounded claws were chosen for a classic and overall softer finish.
Oval and Halfmoon Moissanite Trilogy Ring

Tara was looking for a large sparkly ring for her engagement ring. After much research, she opted moissanite engagement ring.
Tara liked antique styles and three stones styles.

The center stone is an oval moissanite with halfmoon mossianite’s set either side.
The setting is made in platinum and the shank is made in 18ct yellow gold.
Center stone: 5.0ct Oval Moissanite
Side stones: 0.60ct Each Halfmoon Moissanite -
The double claws were designed to embody an antique look and the platinum was chosen to enhance the white colour of the moissanites.
The halfmoon gemstones are set with four claws rather than three for added strength.
Proportions are the most important factor when considering the design of a three stone ring. The accent stones should be the correct colour and size so as to not drown out the center stone, they should compliment the center stone.
Green Sapphire and Diamond Trilogy Ring

Sarah wanted an emerald cut green sapphire, ideally from Queensland as that is where her and her fiancé David are from.
She wanted a three stone engagement ring that was classic and streamlined.
Sarah also had gold passed down from her nana that she wanted to use.

This ring was made using 18ct heirloom gold.
The center stone is set in four pointed claws and the side stones are set into a straight bar and pointed claws.
Center stone: 2.68ct Emerald-cut Sapphire from QLD.
Side stones: 0.30ct each Tapered Baguette Diamonds -
For a seamless and smooth finish, the width of the band is the same width as the ends of the tapered baguettes.
The band profile is flat to match the straight edges of the gemstones. The edges of this ring have been slightly rounded for comfort.
Oval and Tapered Baguette Diamond Trilogy Ring

Neeva wanted a classic style three stone ring made in 18ct yellow gold to match other jewellery she wears.
She also wanted a pink sapphire set into the ring as that is her favorite colour.
After an initial consultation with Neeva, her partner Matt took over creative control to keep an element of surprise with her engagement ring.

The center diamond is set in four pointed claws and the side tapered baguettes are channel set.
Center stone: 1.0ct oval natural diamond
Side stones: 0.05ct each tapered diamond baguettes
Hidden stones: 2 × 1.5mm round pink sapphires -
This ring is a classic style three stone engagement ring.
To make it unique to the wearer, hidden pink sapphires were set underneath the center stone.
